Spill containment can reduce slips and falls

ENWARE Safe-Equip has introduced a tough spill containment unit which it says will prevent workplace accidents stemming from slips and falls.

The Intermediate Bulk Container (IBC) spill container 2000i is made of polyethylene, and has a footprint of 144cm by 142cm. This is said to fit most 1000L IBC dispensing units, and has a sump capacity of 1457.4L. A 19L pail holder allows the liquid to be dispensed into smaller containers.

The UV stabilised polyethylene resin is said to be rust-proof and corrosion-resistant, standing up well to the Australian climate.

When the 2000i does not have a load, it can be transported via a forklift. It can also be nested with other units for shipping and storage.

According to WorkCover NSW statistics, slip, fall and trip accidents cost an average of $18,900 per claim. By using these units to contain any liquid spillages, the company hopes to reduce these types of accidents, and increase safety around hazardous materials.
