JEMTECH says its Vigilante V8SX is a fully integrated laser safety system for long metal folders, with modular inputs and safety relay outputs.
According to JEMTECH, the V8SX-MM system is fully engineered and can be configured for the simplest laser-only system to systems with apron and slitter light curtain protection options. As many as five safety relay cards and an additional I/O card can be configured into various safety systems.
Unlike its predecessor, the Vigilante V65, the V8SX is said to eliminate the wiring between the controller and safety relay components, thereby reducing the installation time of the safety system. In addition the software module has high level configuration options for such functions as muting and machine monitoring.
The V8SX is available in a metal enclosure or with a surface mounting kit for mounting in an existing machine control cabinet. The system includes a bright blue MUTED status indicator and a seven segment status display.
JEMTECH says the controls and associated SHRIKE laser sensors are also available from local stock.
