AIR movement specialist Fanquip says it is combining its fan technologies to meet the need for niche sized fixed relocatable dust control systems for the industrial sector.
Fanquip claims it recently designed and manufactured a specialised collector unit for a company which encountered an ongoing dust cloud problem when pumping cement into a furnace.
Portable solutions are able to be fork lifted and put into the back of a van or truck for relocation on the same site or at any other site.
A Fanquip spokesman says the recent red dust storm along the eastern seaboard of Australia alerted the general public to the effect delivered by invasive dusts that come from outside their local zones.
“But the big question is why Australian industry tends to focus its dust control concerns on high quantity problems when it’s the plethora of small, almost niche size, dust emissions at workplaces that easily amount to potential trouble,” the spokesman said.
“What about all the general dust that crosses between industry and general society, that makes its way from processing plants and worksites into the general neighbourhood and exposes all companies large and small to potential action from affected residents or employees whose lungs might be affected.”
As part of its dust control solution service, a Fanquip specialist first analyses the situation and then recommends an appropriate design based on optimised dust collection units.
