ACTIVE Air has released a dust extractor said to minimise airborne dust in hazardous work environments.
According to the company, the FD 090 is an exhaust ventilation system that removes dust particles that may lead to long-term throat and skin irritations.
The unit runs from a standard power point and requires no installation.
WorkCover NSW says dusty workplaces can have long term affects to workers’ health and, in some cases, may lead to lung cancer or fibrosis.
According to the manufacturer, the unit features a robust and sturdy design for energy efficient, effective filtration of metal and sulphur dust as well as coal and wood particles.
