Supervisor electrocuted by dishwasher

WORKSAFE WA is investigating the death of a 29-year-old cleaning supervisor who is believed to have been electrocuted at the Malaga Markets on 11 January 2009.

According to the authority, preliminary results of the investigation indicate the man was checking a malfunctioning dishwasher when he was electrocuted.

Both inspectors from EnergySafety and WorkSafe went on site to aid in investigating the circumstances.

An electrical safety checklist is included in the booklet ‘The First Step’ which is available on the WorkSafe website.
