Seminar: legal challenges to a national OHS system

UNIVERSITY of Sydney law professor Ron McCallum will be holding a breakfast seminar on the legal challenges to a national occupational health and safety legislative system.

The seminar will look at the difference between the proposed national model and the current safety laws in NSW, as well as the procedure for undertaking safety-related prosecutions and how this differs amongst several jurisdictions.

The event will take place at WatersEdge, Walsh Bay, from 7am to 9am on 20 November 2008.

Tickets for members of the National Safety Council of Australia (NSCA) are priced at $55 each, while non-NSCA members will need to pay $71.50.

RSVPs close 17 November 2008.
