THE SAFETY Institute of Australia’s 17th annual Visions Occupational Health and Safety Conference will be held at Jupiters Townsville from 21 to 23 October 2009.
The Visions Occupational Health and Safety Conference is an event for OHS professionals. The 2009 event will focus on achieving the national OH&S priorities outlined by Safe Work Australia.
Other themes include safety leadership and culture, risk management, OHS law, occupational health, ergonomics and prevention of musculoskeletal disorders, construction, and government and enforcement.
Keynote speakers at the Occupational Health and Safety Conference include representatives from Safe Work Australia, former NOHSC CEO and chair of the National Review into Model OHS Laws Robin-Stewart Crompton, and comedian Brian Dawe.
Chris Handy, former Australian Rugby great and commentator, will speak at the Gala Dinner.
According to the Safety Institute of Australia, Visions is an opportunity for OHS professionals to network with peers, while experiencing contemporary and best-practice OHS solutions showcased by fellow safety professionals.
