A ROOFING contractor has died after falling from the top of a 16-storey building in Surfers Paradise, Queensland.
The contractor was working on an apartment building on 6 August 2008 when the fatal fall occurred.
According to police on the scene, no one saw the 47-year-old man fall. However, they are not treating it as a suspicious death.
Police will submit a report to the state Coroner, who will then look into various aspects of the incident including safety. The Coroner’s report will be made in conjunction with a Workplace Health and Safety investigation.
