PILZ has introduced the new PNOZ m3p and PNOZ mo5p units, which it says are specifically designed to safely monitor and control burners, furnaces and boilers.
The PNOZ m3p and PNOZ mo5p are part of the PNOZ multi configurable control system range.
According to PILZ, safe ignition of fuel and furnace monitoring during operation are safety related criteria which prevent explosions. As a result protection devices are integrated into equipment for transporting fuel to a furnace as well as equipment which interrupt the flow of fuel.
PILZ says the software blocks are built into the PNOZmulti configurator which means there is no need to create a complex PLC program.
The PNOZ m3p and PNOZ mo5p are approved by SIL 3 in accordance with EN/IEC 61508 as well as burner control, furnace and boiler standards.
