WORKSAFE WA will be running an inspection program to look at noise management in workplaces during May 2010.
By way of increasing awareness of the OHS risks of noise in the workplace, WorkSafe WA will be holding a 4Thought Lunchtime Session on the topic during International Day for Noise Awareness, 28 April 2010.
The session will feature noise specialist Pam Gunn, who will talk about the dangers of long-term exposure to noise and ototoxic chemicals, the importance of buy-quiet and noise control, and how employers can meet their legal obligations for occupational health and safety.
The lunchtime session will take place at the WA Group Training Scheme, located at 59 Windsor Wangara, from 12.15pm to 1.30pm.
The sessions are free of charge but bookings are essential.
