Free information on protecting workplaces from skin cancer

HELEN Muccilli from the Cancer Council of Western Australia will be presenting an information session on ‘Skin Cancer – a guide for outdoor workers and employers’.

According to the organisers, Australia has the highest rate of skin cancer in the world with over 444,000 cases diagnosed each year. Outdoor workers are at increased risk due to their constant exposure to UV radiation.

Attendees to the 4Thought lunchtime information session can hear about what they can do to protect the workplace, and the importance of prevention and early detection.

The information session will take place on 13 November 2009 at the Kwinana aquatic and leisure centre. Bookings are essential, but the sessions are free of charge.
