WORKSAFE Victoria has highlighted its new website WorkHealth as part of the Work Safe Week.
The WorkHealth website throws the spotlight on preventable chronic conditions like diabetes, heart disease, stroke, cancer and respiratory diseases, which are responsible for 60% of all global deaths.
It aims to help workers and employers create health programs in the workplace to prevent such diseases.
Victoria’s Work Safe Week follows the Safe Work Australia Week, and will see a number of free safety seminars across the state. The organisers claim most have already been filled to capacity.
Seminars are being organised by WorkSafe Victoria, VECCI, AiGroup, Minerals Council of Australia and various insurance providers.
