Draft OHS laws submissions now available for viewing

SAFEWORK Australia says the public comment period on the model national OHS laws has passed and submissions are now available through its website.

According to SafeWork Australia, the public comments period drew 480 responses from organisations and people concerned about the impact of the laws.

SafeWork Australia and the OHS Strategic Issues Group will go through the public comments and make recommendations to the Workplace Relations Ministers’ Council.

The Victorian Trades Hall Council and unions will maintain their campaign for the best possible laws because there is still a concern workers will lose a number of HSR rights.
