Following the success of The Safety Show Sydney in October 2007, the next Sydney Show will be held from 28 to 30 October 2008.
The 2008 Safety Show Sydney is expected to draw more than 12 000 visitors, making it New South Wales’ largest workplace safety event. It will feature the second Sydney Materials Handling event, offering a one-stop overview of the latest workplace health and safety solutions.
According to show organiser, Marie Kinsella, materials handling and workplace wellness are two areas experiencing growth.
"Industry is obviously keenly aware of the need to address materials handling issues, which WorkCover NSW says is New South Wales' number one cause of workplace injury," she said.
Other Australian states will be seeing their own work safety shows during 2008. Safety in Action is scheduled for 29 April to 1 May at Melbourne, whilst the inaugural WA Safety Show will be from 12 to 14 August at the Perth Convention Exhibition Centre.
