WATPAC has contracted ComOps to deploy its safety and risk management reporting software.

Watpac is an Australian construction and property company. According to ComOps, it will be providing the Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) software through the Australian Workplace Software company.

Watpac’s construction division has over 750 staff based in offices and on sites in Townsville, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, and Vietnam. In addition to its permanent staff the company also needs to manage thousands of sub-contractors across Australia.

According to Watpac, its recent acquisitions meant previously stand-alone businesses had conjoining the company with their disparate occupational, health and safety reporting systems.

ComOps says the Safety, Health and Environment software will allow Watpac to standardise and enhance safety reporting across the construction division.

Watpac chose ComOps following a review of several solutions. It cited the information capture logic of the SHE software, as well as the customer service capabilities of ComOps.

SHE automates the management of occupational health and safety and risk information ensuring that companies remain compliant with legislation. Watpac will use SHE to record and analyse incidents and produce detailed web-based dashboard reports using a common language to manage its workforce.

Watpac’s management will also be able to compare performance, spot trends, identify weaknesses and act in cases where safety performance may not be up to the stringent levels required.
