On September 1st, Advanced Personnel Management (APM) has been recognised for its excellence in community service at the Suncorp Western Sydney Awards for Business Excellence ceremony. Indeed, the company was a finalist in its category, as it has been working collaboratively with organisations in Western Sydney, since 2005, assisting people with injuries, disabilities or illness return to work. Only last financial year, APM Parramatta helped 1 person return to work every 2 working days.

APM Parramatta helps members of the community with a range of injuries from the moment they are discharged from hospital through to returning to the workforce. The company also delivers different initiatives to maximise outcomes for long term unemployed individuals who have limited skills and experience.

APM has a number of success stories where they have worked with local Western Sydney businesses to make their work environment safer and also to match their needs with job seeker’s requirements, resulting in sustainable employment for the client and good recruitment decisions for many local businesses.

With the help of APM, many of Western Sydney’s resident achieved independence with activities within the home and community enabling them to return to their life and work routines much more quickly. “It’s a very satisfying feeling to see our clients getting back to work and their normal life after a serious injury or issue in their life. We do see some complex cases at our office and it’s such a good feeling to see that we can help community members in this city,” said Sonya Carder, APM Team Leader for the Injury Management division in Parramatta.

APM Parramatta achieves its success with the help of a multidisciplinary team of health professionals, such as qualified occupational therapists, physiotherapists, rehabilitation counsellors, psychologists and employment consultants.

Advanced Personnel Management (APM) is the largest privately owned provider of occupational rehabilitation, employment and psychological services in Australia.
